Miss Kathy/Kathy Vogel Miss Kathy
Kathy Vogel keeps herself busy working in radio and writing for a local newspaper and various magazines. Kathy has been in radio and television for more than 15 years. A graduate of The University of Akron, Kathy recently finished writing, directing and acting in her first independent film. Her hobbies include movies and music. She is currently learning how to play the guitar.
Augustus Bustus/Bill Elias Augustus Bustus
Augustus Bustus is actually Bill Elias, a local musician who has donated his time to the show since Gilby premiered in September 2002. In April 1999, Bill was invited to appear with his band Peace Tree on The Jenny Jones Show. Bill has just completed work on his fifth CD (and first solo CD). Look for him to take the stage as “Elijah Black” soon.
B.E. Mann B.E. Mann
Nicknamed “the energy man” by critics for his high-energy dance performances, B.E. Mann has released 12 albums and performed over 2,000 live shows. He was previously the house musician/actor for the PBS children’s TV show “Study Jam.” In addition to his numerous awards and accomplishments, B.E. recently had six consecutive #1 songs on the world charts in eight European countries. He also is host to one of the Akron area’s longest-running ethnic programs, “Reggae Rhythms from Around the World,” heard on WAPS 91.3 The Summit, Saturdays from 8-10 p.m. “Reggae Rhythms” features an eclectic mix of reggae music from yesterday and today, all over the world and locally! Izzy Belle/Sheffia Dooley Izzy Belle
Sheffia W. Dooley is a theatre graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College and has worked in educational theatre programs for Kaiser Permanente, Great Lakes Theatre Festival and Cleveland Public Theatre. Her on-stage credits include "The Wiz"; "Purlie"; "Once on This Island"; "The Tempest"; "Anything Goes"; "Orpheus Descending"; "Blithe Spirit"; and, most recently, "Nickel and Dimed." In her spare, time she is mother to two beautiful boys and wife to a wonderful husband.
Justin Time/Scoops McGee/Nick Koesters Justin Time/Scoops McGee
Nick Koesters has worked as a professional actor in Cleveland for the last nine years. He spent eight years with Kaiser Permanente’s educational theatre department performing for and teaching more than 100,000 students about health, safety, nutrition, organ donations and HIV. He has also performed with The Children’s Theatre at the Cleveland Playhouse, Porthouse Theatre, Dobama Theatre, The Beck Center for the Arts, Willoughby Fine Arts and Charenton Theatre. He is on the board of Bad Epitaph Theatre Company. The Cleveland Plain Dealer featured Nick as one of 10 theatre performers to watch in 2003. Nick lives in Cleveland with his beautiful and amazing wife, Carolyn, two ferrets named Pete and Lucy, and a singing cat named Otis.
Mrs.Hiddlebiddle/Adrienne Wasserman Mrs. Hiddlebiddle
Adrienne Wasserman is an early childhood music/creative movement specialist. She grew up with a love for acting and singing. She has appeared in theater productions in the Cleveland area and sings and performs magic at various functions including children’s parties. Adrienne and her husband, a school principal, have three grown children; a daughter-in-law; and a one-year-old grandson, whom they love to spoil.
Eileen Moushey Eileen Moushey
Eileen Moushey is a freelance writer and director. Her interactive-mystery scripts have been produced by theatres and high schools in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to writing for "Ask Gilby®," Eileen has written commercials, video scripts and educational television programs. She is a two-time regional Emmy nominee and won in 2001 for scripting the WNEO/WEAO educational series "The Ama-Zone Rainforest Project." To learn more about Eileen, visit her Web site.
